how to buy

Buying is a straightforward process. There are certain procedures we need to follow to ensure that the bone fide of buyers is established, and that we comply with the requirements of the Money Laundering regulations.

The general public, dealers and collectors are welcome to our auctions. Procures for buying are as follows:

Buyers attending in person.

On arrival, you will be given an registration card. We ask that you complete your basic details, name address, telephone number etc. This card is handed to our office, and you are given a bidding card and number. You bid with this number.

At the end of the sale, or earlier if you wish, you need to pay for your purchases. All purchases must be paid for in full before they are allowed to be taken. We accept cash, all major credit cards, and cheques accompanied by a valid cheque guarantee card. There is a 2% charge for the use of credit cards. After payment at the office, you will be given a receipt which will then be used to identify your purchases which you may take. There are Porters available to help you.

Telephone bidding

We accept bids by telephone. However, prior to the sale persons wishing to bid by telephone must contact us, at least 48 hours prior to the sale, and let us have personal details. We also require credit card details for payment.

Commission Bids

Persons unable to attend the sale may also leave Commission bids. This may be done in writing, fax or Email. A member of our staff will bid on your behalf up to the maximum amount you stipulate. We will require personal and credit card details to enable us to bid on your behalf.
