how to sell

Our sales deal with a very wide range of goods, from household items to high value antiques.

All you need to do is to contact us by telephone or E-Mail, and let us know what you wish to sell. Our valuers will contact you immediately, and make arrangements to view the items, either at your home or in our Auction Rooms.

We will advise you of the likely auction sales value of the items. You may wish to place a reserve price on items, and you will know that the item will not be sold below that figure. If required, we can provide storage at our auction rooms. The premises are, of course , fully alarmed, and all items in the auction rooms are covered by our insurance.

We take instructions from private individuals, as well as solicitors, accountants, executors etc.

In the case of complete house clearances, we can arrange for items to be removed by our own staff, and van, and stored at our auction rooms.

Our auctioneer will advise of the best suitability for the sale of goods. It may be a General sale, an Antique and collectable sale, or a specialist sale.

All of our sales are fully lotted and catalogued.

Full details of our sales are entered on our Web Site, and extensively advertised in the local and national press. We have an extensive database of dealers and collectors who receive full details of our sales items.

The proceeds of an auction sale are held in a separate Eleys Client Bank account until the sale is paid out. Our clients have the assurance that we will endeavour to obtain the best possible prices.
